Overview
Amazon Web Services operates a global network of cloud regions and Local Zones. In May 2026 AWS announced general availability of the AWS Local Zone in Istanbul, which provides EC2, EBS, Amazon S3 (One Zone-IA storage class), EBS Snapshots, VPC and Elastic Load Balancing in Türkiye, with a high-bandwidth connection to the Europe (Frankfurt) Region for the full service range. GPU capacity is offered through EC2 P5 (H100), P5e/P5en (H200) and G6e (L40S) instance families in selected regions. Control-plane activity is recorded by AWS CloudTrail.
Compiled from AWS public documentation and announcements listed in Sources. Regional availability of instance families changes frequently; confirm in the AWS console before procurement.
